Gordon is a founding member of Felesky Flynn LLP, having opened the Edmonton office in 1980. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1991 and a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta (CPA Alberta) in 2001.
He has taken an active role in the affairs of both CPA Alberta and the Law Society of Alberta, serving as president of the Law Society 1997-1999. He is a past governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation, past chair of the Alberta Law Foundation, and past member of the Judicial Council. He has been a member of a number of government task forces.
Gordon has taken a particular interest in the education of students and young accountants and lawyers. He lectured for ICAA for many years, for the Faculty of Business Administration and Commerce and the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta and was a former faculty member of the Banff School for Advanced Management.
Gordon has recently reduced his day-to-day involvement in client files but maintains a close relationship with the firm and continues to provide guidance and assistance to firm members.

For many years Gordon has prepared course materials and has written numerous papers and articles for organizations such as ICAA, Canadian Tax Foundation and Legal Education Society. He continues to assist professional bodies as the need arises.
