Ashvin practices in the areas of tax controversy and litigation, including audits, objections, criminal evasion and appeals to the Tax Court of Canada. He also advises on tax and estate planning matters, and assists in contentious estate and trust litigation. He has worked with a wide array of clients, including financial institutions, large private corporations, professional corporations, pension funds and high net worth individuals.

Ashvin attended law school at the University of Toronto, where he won the Warren Lefton Prize in Estate Planning for the highest place in tax and estate planning. He maintained a passion for advocacy throughout his university studies, serving as Co-Chief Justice of the 2013 Grand Moot (presided over by Justice Michael Moldaver of the Supreme Court of Canada) and competing at the Gale and Jessup competitive moots. He attended two World Debating Championships, organized the 2010 National and 2012 British Parliamentary North American Debating Championships and is the former President of the Canadian University Society for Intercollegiate Debate.

Outside the office, Ashvin enjoys international travel and volunteering. He sits on numerous community boards and serves as a Commissioner of the Edmonton Police Service. Prior to joining Felesky Flynn, Ashvin practiced in the tax group of an international law firm.
