Paul has many years of tax experience, both in Canada and the UK, and practices principally in the areas of personal and corporate tax planning.
Holding a First Class Bachelor of Laws (with honours), he qualified as a lawyer in the UK in 2007 and, after several years of general practice, moved to a ‘Big 4’ accountancy firm to specialize in tax, gaining extensive experience and understanding of all aspects of personal and corporate tax planning and compliance.
Paul became a Chartered Accountant in 2014 and a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2019. Upon moving to Canada in 2020, he began applying his experience in the Canadian context and shortly thereafter became a CPA.
Paul’s passion for tax stems from its inherent complexity and the satisfaction derived from understanding highly technical legislation and distilling this into plain English, helping clients to understand and navigate the ever-evolving rules which impact their day-to-day lives and long-term planning goals, always with the ultimate aim of maximizing the benefit to clients based upon their particular circumstances.
