Les has advised the Federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources and Alberta Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. He has also been a professional adviser to numerous private and public corporations; Canadian corporations investing in the U.S. and other countries; tax exempt pension funds; and foreign investors in Canadian resource properties and other real estate.

After retiring as a partner of Felesky Flynn LLP, Les served as co-chairman of a large private company involved in a wide range of businesses including manufacturing, real estate development and resource exploitation.  He is presently a partner of Ignite Strategic Inc. which advises clients on resort, residential and mixed use development strategies.  Les remains an adviser to Camcor of which he was co-founder in 1996.  Camcor is a major private equity investor in start-up oil and gas companies.

Les has lectured to the Canadian Tax Foundation, Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario School of Accountancy, Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (Professional Development Courses on Income Tax, Foreign Investment and Price Controls), Canadian Petroleum Tax Society, Tax Executives Institute, Society of Management Accountants, University of Calgary, Canadian Bar Association, and Insight Education Services.
